The first book in a series of stories about children who have been placed in foster care and the problems that they have to overcome. A great book to share with your pre-teen children or give as a gift to a teenager. The stories are filled with hope, love, and ways to cope with the problems of growing up today.

Twanna is a young girl who has had to face many difficulties in her life. She is abandoned both physically and emotionally by her family, is in danger of being sexually abused by her cousin and doesn’t see how she will survive. A dog adopts her and with the aid of her best friend, they begin to solve the problems. When the adults in her life become involved, she is supposed to be put in a foster home, however she runs away. When things look the darkest, there comes a light, and a joyful dog.
